Sport Program
Sport is an integral part of the school's educational program and therefore it is mandatory for all students to participate in the school's regular sports program.
Years 7 and 8 undertake an integrated sports program taught by specialist teachers that is designed to develop skills and understanding in a variety of sports preparing them for grade sport competition in later years. They also participate in two Gala Days a year against other schools in the Kuring-gai Zone.
For Years 9 to 12 sport is held every Thursday afternoon. Chatswood High School participates in the Kuring-gai Zone Grade Sports Competition against nine other schools. These competitions are played in summer, winter and spring seasons and are contested in the following sports: Basketball, Cricket, Frisbee, Volleyball, Sofcross, Handball, Touch, Squash, Soccer, Lawn Bowls, Badminton, AFL, Hockey, Netball, Rugby Union, Oz Tag, Rugby League and Speedaway.
For students not selected in grade sport teams, a recreational sport program is offered.
